A new £12 million contemporary office scheme, known as Building 3000, was built at Cambridge Research Park in Waterbeach.

Delivered by Kier Construction, Building 3000 spans 31,823 sq ft and around two-thirds of the building have been occupied by Kier Construction as the headquarters for its operations in the eastern region.

The building is constructed to BREEAM Very Good standard and includes a double-height atrium reception area.

Bloom & Wake were appointed by Kier to install all of the mechanical and electrical services within the new building which spanned 3 floors.

The project included all electrical works within the main atrium, offices, meeting rooms and kitchen facilities.

Additionally, a complete fire, intruder and security system was installed throughout the building together with external security lighting.
