Welch’s Transport have been operating since 1934 offering a wide variety of distribution services including pallet network, hazardous transportation and storage facilities.

A state of the art new warehouse facility was built at Duxford in Cambridgeshire and Bloom & Wake were appointed electrical contractors for the project.

The site consisted of a number of modular buildings comprising bulk storage, hazardous freight, loading and unloading services and office areas.

The project involved the design and build of the electrical and mechanical installations throughout the whole site.

Services installed comprised of the internal, external and emergency lighting together with fire alarm systems and lightning protection. In addition, all small power, distribution and switchgear were fitted as part of the project.
